Loneliness
Even when you’re in a room full of people, do you feel isolated and alone? Do you avoid social situations because you’re afraid of being rejected? Does it seem like a pattern where you get close to people only to have them betray your trust? Or maybe you have a lot of friends but your relationships are superficial. This leaves you wanting something more substantial but you have no idea how to make that happen.
These are just some of the many ways we can experience loneliness.
Connection
I can work with you to find and practice healthy coping mechanisms to soothe social anxiety and increase your comfort level with social situations. I can support you and provide encouragement as you build your social circle. We can work together to process negative experiences you’ve had with past relationships and develop a balanced perspective on trust and risk. We can work on your values and communication skills to put you in the most promising situations to meet new people and develop deeper connections with the people you already know.
